How to play

1. Your team

When you sign up, you get a 16-player squad ready to play and £20,000 of (virtual) money.

• My team: pick your formation (4-4-2, 4-3-3 or 3-3-4) and your starting 11. Only starters score points.
• Transfers: buy players (double-click) and sell them (Sell button, 80% of their value). A player's value goes up when his club wins and when he scores or assists.

2. How your team scores points

On a Premier League matchweek, your score =

• the club points of your starters (wins, goals scored…) — each club only counts once: players from different clubs earn more;
• + your starters' goals and assists (a defender who scores earns more than a forward);
• − yellow and red cards.

The Stats page shows all of this matchweek by matchweek and for the season.

3. Challenges

Every night at midnight, 5 matchweeks already played are drawn at random. Challenge another manager:

• each round is played on one drawn matchweek: the team with the most points wins it;
• the first to win 3 rounds wins the match;
• between two rounds, you have 30 seconds to bring on substitutes: if you know who shone on the next matchweek, now's the time!
• a challenge costs £1,000, each round won earns £1,000, and the win +£2,000.

Each opponent's level (from Isthmian League to Premier League) helps you choose.

4. Bets

• Before the next Premier League matchweek, build a betting team and confirm it by paying £1,000. It can't be changed afterwards.
• Bets close at the kick-off of the first match.
• After the matchweek, the top 50% of scores get their stake back and share the whole pot: the higher you finish, the bigger your share.

Tips to get started

1. Check that your line-up is complete (11/11) in My team.
2. Start by challenging opponents at your level or below.
3. Look at the Stats for the drawn matchweeks before playing your rounds.
4. Pick starters from different clubs.
5. Install the app on your phone (browser menu › "Install app").
